Dr. Gerhard Berger (born 1940) has studied pedagogic and sociology. He is director of the pedagogical academy in Graz/Austria. Together with his wife Dr. Berger has promoted animal protection for the last 20 years.

Animal protection was the reason for his vegetarian lifestyle. He has given numerous lectures on the subject at universities, academies, schools. He is lecturer in the seminars of the Austrian project "Animal protection at school".

Gerhard Berger lives with his wife, son and daughter in law and two grandchildren on the outskirts of Graz.
