Alex Bourke

Co-author and publisher of Vegetarian London, Vegetarian Britain, Vegetarian France, Campaign Against Cruelty - an animal activist's handbook, and author of The Hippy Cookbook, The Vegan Guide to Paris and How to Write a Vegan Book. Presented workshops on How to Write A Vegan Book at IVU 93 and EVU 94 which resulted in guides to Amsterdam, Berlin, Edinburgh, Melbourne, Munich, New York. Presented at EVU 94 on Why Vegan and (with Juliet Gellatley of Viva! and Stephane Hennion of AIDA France) on campaigning techniques. Former university lecturer in computer science and Campaigns Coordinator at Viva!. Currently a consultant software engineer to multinationals and director of the Vegan Society. Co-founded Vegetarian Guides Ltd to produce vegan guides to every country and Miso Publications to publish a comprehensive range of fun, low-cost vegan cookbooks.
